The Workshop
The Beck Hill Workshop
The main focus of the activities of the building and maintenance volunteers are undertaken at the Society boatshed, Located on Beck Hill, between the Bank and a private car parking area we are in the very heart of Bridlington town.
The property was leased in August 2020, previously we operated from the nearby Mill.
The Mill property was smaller and was serviced by a narrow steep and winding access not very ideal for manoeuvring long trailers.
The present premises allow for viewing by the public safely from the street while work progresses on a variety of projects.
Here a volunteer will usually be available to engage with any questions from passers-by.
The boatshed is capable of taking a vessel of up to 30 feet ( 9+m) in length and is ideal for all but one of our sailing fleet.
This being the largest coble in our society the “Three Brothers” for all tasks performed on this vessel we contract with the Harbour for access to the “Vessel Maintenance Facility” (VFM) at Clough Hole at the head of the harbour.
